Getting slick out there
It's getting pretty slick out there so we are trying to stick to the main trails. Dogs don't seem to mind- as long as we are moving they always give us the "a-ok" head slant!
We were able to bring Billie Jean from WAG with us again which was nice. We like to try to help out as much as we can. Any dog living without regular routine or without knowing who their owner is...exercise is the first thing that will help heal the broken bits. But isn't that true for humans also? hmmm....
To the left we have Finn in behind, Bosley up front, Jake in the back, Oscar in the front, Billie laying down and Sprocket peering over and out and then Sadie.
Here we are crossing the creek, heads down, gettin' er done.

It was like Maui...but with snow
I love the end when all the dogs just make their way back up the ramp on their own without hesitation. Might have something to do with the reward for doing it...:)
It was so warm and sunny today, you almost need the snow to balance it all out. It just felt really relaxing today. Here is the group (minus Jake who is patiently waiting behind them all for a snowball to slip over the back ledge) I'm pretty sure these guys were enjoying the sun as much as I was.
Ever, Julia, Tao, Bosley, Sadie and baby Oscar in the front. Oscar is 7 months and is on his 3rd owner and doing amazing! This little guy comes with very little training at this point but his new owners are enthusiastic about working with him. He is very quick to learn and just wants so bad to be like the others.
Bosley is learning to walk Julia or he just likes her. I am learning quickly that this is a dog that needs a job. I'm putting my thinking cap on...
Until next time...

Wow#3!
This is at the end of the hike....
From left to right; Oscar laying down, Indy (Skip's sister), Sprocket, Billie Jean (can be adopted at WAG), Smudge in behind, Allie in behind and Jasper. Only one is tied in. Then I walked back about 100', and they stayed put. Mission accomplished! Training is so easy once you wear them out!
It is beyond me why Billie Jean is still at WAG. She comes when called, she plays well with the others, does not show any type of food aggression or attention aggression with us- she is just high energy. But every one of these dogs is high energy. And we live in "high energy mecca!"
Look at this face! If anyone of you knows some high energy individual that wants a biking partner or someone that wants to do agility with a dog...this is their girl.
Billie Jean to the left, Sprocket trying to get her attention, Indy in behind, Jasper right up front, Oscar lying down at the top beside Smudge and Allie to the right in black- you can barely see her.
They all played really well together. Billie Jean would throw herself down and roll all the time! It was awesome!
We pretty much went uphill for an hour and a half so they should all be tired out today. I know I am!
It was so awesome once we hit the sun.
This is Allie- this was her first day with Canine Energy-she is obviously an experienced hiker! She did great today, played well with the others and new the drills.
Well, I could get a little camera crazy so I think that is it for today. Have a great "Day of Rest" tomorrow and see you all Monday!
Over and out...
