New Friend, Amazing Forests, Old Friends...

What a beautiful hike! We went round Crater Rim again and it was awesome, the forests looked and smelled super fresh and the dogs were full of good positive energy, and raring to go - as was I! Running shoes were on today and we flew! A pack of dogs and a mad English woman...it was sooo fun. We also had a new friends join us today, meet Gibson! She is a great pack dog, super fun to be with and although full of energy to the point of exploding at times she is a super good girl and plays well with the others - nice to meet you Gibson! Here are today's pack, and the photo's from the hike:
Danny, our new buddy Gibson, Jayda, and Cruzer take a breather and sit nicely for a treat...look at those tongues lolling!
Then off we go...
And up we go...note stick in Gibson's maw...she carried that thing for ages, I was impressed as we were not hanging about!
So we get to the talus field and most of us stick on trail as it is was easier...
...Cruzer decided to try and scale the vertical route...and after a little grunt and look of surprise decided after a while that our traverse route was way easier...he is soooooo funny!
...and also a fan of MUD!
...and so is Jayda!!
Up and Up we go...
Love this shot of Danny, he had been rolling in the bushes and popped up with a goofy grin!
Gibson and her valiant stick at a lookout spot, you can normally see Mt Fee from here but the clouds were swirling today, still a beautiful view!
Winding through the forests...LOVE this hike, it's like the Land of the Ents
Back down for a swim....lovely! Jayda and Cruzer clean up here :)
And Cruzer and Gibson share a splash here...Danny and Jayda were moseying about in the bushes nearby, shaking off water and getting me soaked!
Then it was time to go home...what good doggies and what a great hike! I am tired out, hope they are too, aroOOOOooOOOOO!
