...and compared to yesterday's amazing hike, today was a different vibe altogether! Don't get me wrong, we still had amazing sunshine, views, forests and cool woofers...but the vibe mid-way was weird for a few minutes! We had Danny, Skip, Ever (and mum), and Concerto and we had an eerie feeling once we reached the higher trails..plus the dogs were wired and acting funny, esp Danny...we think some wild animal was nearby...?! A 6th sense feeling came over all of us - we leashed Danny, and bounced back down to the friendly lake for a swim and to giggle nervously about it! We have seen bears etc before and it's always a peaceful encounter where we all pass each other calmly and carry on, but this was odd, and safety being our priority we moved as a group away to where hikers and kayakers were milling about, and it was all much better. Needless to say I will not head up that trail (a variation of Crater Rim) for a while! Here are the shots, the rest of the hike was pleasant breezes and sunshine...phew!

Dirty doggy! After our swim Skipper finds some dusty something to roll in...sorry Skips Mum! We had one more swim so he should have been cleaner once towelled off at home, hope I didn't miss bits!
