AWESOME pack, AWESOME hike!

Yes folks it was another one of those hikes where every second is awesome and the dogs make me laugh pretty much the whole way! I spent 100% of the time feeling stoked to have such a cool pack of furry buddies at my side...and we moved as one; sniff, pee, play, swim, ruuuuuuuun! It was great, almost like theatre actually, we were quiet and creepy..whispering along, we sat, did a group down, exploded into action, ran round the twisting trails and tried to chase squirrels up trees. So good! We also went further into Comfortably Numb than ever, waaaaay past the memorial bridge...sweet trail, I am pooched, pretty sure there will be 7 sleepy dogs by now too! Today's crew were: Wicket, Jackets, Cedar, Ever, Spanky, Harmony and Kayla!
off we go, trotting into the breezy morning!
Harmony says hi!
Ever enjoys her first swim in the rushing creek...and seems to think I will be throwing the camera, or feeding it to her! Nope Ever bear, just capturing the shot this time!
Look carefully, this guy had us all excited that's for sure...squeaking away at us all just 'cos it KNOWS dogs can't climb trees! Was soooooo funny!
Ever tried...
The rest of us barked and yipped (yes, I barked too...ha ha)
Then onwards and upwards!
Sweet slab of rock, my runnign shoes stick to it so well I feel like Spiderman, and we were all panting pretty good here, Wicky, and Cedar with the most gas in the tank leading the way!
Into the cool forest...and up we go again!
Across the Al Grey memorial bridge...Wicket and Kayla are funny to watch when bridge crossing, they splay their legs a little and kind of creep along with bent knees (rather like they may be holding in the desire to poop) I was tempted to capture it on video but couldn't be bothered to stop and fiddle...we had places to go, things to sniff, and running to do...weeee!
Ride on dogs...ride on!
Taking a much needed breather!
Cedar and her stick had a quality moment in the sunshine while she waited for us slow pokes at the back to catch up on the switchbacks! I was trotting past the tree here and surprised her!
Back in the open..tired woofers now!
Pre truck dip and swim!
Jackets comes in for a wet slurpy kiss! I LOVE her! We had been playing stick and her barks were so funny I was laughing my head off...she started to get a high pitched squeak at the end of each bark, I had to sit down and laugh...and she came up to sluuuuuurp right up my nose...lovely!
Jaws wiiiiide open as these three girls gave a good yell for the stick..Kayla's flying ears are awesome!
The Girls had no need to get involved in such nonsense this time...they were thirsty!!
A final plop as I threw a rock in to get them all in for a final full body soak before heading home...Ever first off the mark! Ahhhhh refreshing!
Parting shot - Cedar says see ya next hike, ArooOOOoooOOOoooOOO!
