Day 2: loving the new ramp, and some WAG time

What a beautiful day! We hiked up into the sunshine around Wedge Mountain amd enjoyed some spectacular views. Our crew today were Ever, Bam-Bam, Jayda, and from WAG, Billie-Jean. A big part of Canine energy is working alongside Whistler's animal shelter to help them train and nurture the dogs towards a happier life and a new home. Many like Billie-Jean have had a hard start in life, and by coming out with our crew we feel this is a great way to help WAG with their development as they are socialized with great dogs, they get a good 2 hours of hiking, and some training en-route with the rest of the pack - it's the least we can do for them...give them some great canine energy!!! Terrible joke, but it's how we roll :)

Billie jean is shown here in-between Ever and Jayda smiling for her treat from Leslie! She is currently on leash while she gets to know us all.

And check out our new ramp! We felt that dogs leaping in and out of trucks puts a lot of strain on their joints, so before we started hiking we put together a ramp for easy access - it works really well and allows for some extra training in terms of loading in and out of the truck...one at a time, and in an controlled fashion! Ever here shows us how it's done under the supervision of Jayda, and myself:
