Are you ready...?
Each dog made me laugh out loud today...they are SO funny, I love them! We climbed up into the sunshine through beautiful forests, nobody else around except us, and the great outdoors...perfect.

Skipper enjoying the view - he is such a gentleman, he made me laugh as he is so polite and courteous all the time, and so dignified!! I was greeted by a gentle kiss and a bow (!!) and he is soooo good on the hike - he likes to lead the way, and looks back every now and then to make sure we are right behind him and following his very precise path. (I learned a long time ago the animals take the most efficient routes) Every now and then he will play with each of us, always finishing with a delicate kiss before he trots off again. Super cool dog!Then we have Ever...who is always making me laugh, and today was no exception - maaan she is so funny! We had stopped for a break and to enjoy the view for a couple of minutes - I laid back on the snow to stretch a little only to find my toque gently removed from my head (of course by Ever, oh so carefully), then she raged around shaking it like a dead rabbit completely proud of herself bouncing about with her tail in the air! AND the bonus is...I stood up (and took a photo) then in mock horror asked her what on earth she was doing, and that she must immediately drop my hat...and she did perfectly! Admittedly she licked her lips at it, but she left it be...what a good girl!
Then Buddy, who is generally super chilled and lopes along sniffing, rolling about, and looking lovingly at me for treats, decided to have a crazy energy burst just before we got to the lake. I couldn't pull out the camera fast enough, but he suddenly put his butt in the air and splayed out his front legs...yipped at the others then ran around like a greyhound, causing 20 seconds of mayhem and flying dogs before resuming his lope to go find a drink in the lake! Very funny, I really ought to get a helmet cam fixed to my toque...today would have been priceless!
So we had another short break at the lake..Ever ran about with hunks of ice in her mouth after breaking through to make a water hole (which they all put their heads in at once...another missed gem of a moment!)
Then we hiked down to the road and back to the truck...what an awesome way to spend the morning.
I love these shots..especially Buddy's shadow looking up at me for some love...and treats!
