Today was a wet and warm hike, with Ever and some of her family, Eddie from WAG, Skipper and Cruzer. We set off past Green Lake and climbed up into the forests, heading for a cool lookout spot. Eddie is sooooo adorable, he was brought to WAG from Mount Currie and is so gentle and playful! He really loved Ever and his floofy tail was up soon after meeting everyone as he played and sniffed and peed with the others. I hope he finds a loving home soon, as he is an absolute gem!
Please to meet you Eddie! Cruzer says hi...these two kept sniffing noses it was so cute, but I was always too slow with the camera, plus it was getting pretty wet!
Skiper was pretty tired, and yet still able to strike a pose! I heard from mom he had already been out running before the hike this morning, no wonder! He briefly chased some form of wildlife that was crashing though the bushes, played a little and slinked along happily, but seemed pooched, he will be fast asleep by now I am sure!
Ever was feisty and full of beans today, she did however walk wonderfully with Skip as we leashed up to pass through the golf course - I had her and Skip on a team leash (takes me back to driving horses, although these two are way smaller than your average shires!) and she trotted on nicely! She is so funny in moods like this, she'll trot along happily, then suddenly stop to take snatches of grass which she knows she will get told off for, and as we tell her to 'leave it' she grabs as many mouthfulls as possible as fast as she can before flouncing off again! She cracks me up, and her facial expressions and grumbles are so funny when she is asked to sit or 'down'...I love her, the little monkey!!! The shot above shows her ears pricked ready for another rock to chase! As I have mentioned before, I was a hyperactive child, so feel I can identify with the dogs when they are in these moods...I am sure my mother would agree too!
Cruzer was full of beans too..and danced and played in mud, bog, and lake...he and Eddie had a good boogie round and round, and I promise I did my best to towel off all the mud as even post swim he seemed a grubby little boy! Look at his muddy trousers in the above shot! ha ha ha!

Then on we went! Mosey along and hoovering up fresh grass along the way!
Back down again...heading over the Fitz Creek - Ever contemplated another dip but luckily she did not -I think us going ...Ever...Nooooooo!' helped in her decision as it was flowing pretty fast today!
Another swim, this time in the River of Golden Dreams...just after this shot Cruzer and Eddie erupted into play, it was so funny! Round and round, it was like lunging a horse as Eddie was on a long leash! Back in the truck it was all activity...some fishermen to our left chatting about their catches...Ever to our right loading up with her family, and a brief look at the camera before treat time!!
Ha! the flash made Skipper squint, Eddie look worried, and Cruzer (who had still been studying the fishermen) go huh...?! Another cool hike, see you tomorrow, ArooOOoOOoooo!
