Ramble On!

...that just happens to be my favourite Zep song...and it was very much in my mind as we ran through the forests this morning with eerie watery sunshine filtering through a haze of distant wildfire smoke. It was actually quite beautiful, and Kayla, Skip, Wicky and Jackets and Cruzer were stoked to be out that's for sure! They ran and sniffed in a tight pack and played super well together...here are the first part of the shots, for some reason I cannot find anything from the lake downwards?? Gremlins in my memeory card ahhhhhhhhh! So mad as had some cracking shots...here is what I do have anyway, if I locate the others I'lll post them for sure!
Cruzer gets to know Wicket in typical doggy fashion...!
Off we go!
Moseying along tails up noses down!
Into the forests we go!
Eerie sun through the trees....

Dip number 1...lovely!
Galloping through the forests...weeee!
Love this..dogs dotted everywhere - you can just see Skip and Wicky and the others are flyig about nearby...it's awesome as I just waited in the same spot, and 30 seconds later litle faces popped up to see where I was, then came galloping as I stood still and quietly said "...so who wants a treat then?' Ah, those magic words!

And that's as far as the pix go today for some reason, I am so mad!!! C'est la vie, will make sure I get everything saved for SURE next hike...so from here we went up to Loggers, had a great splash around with barks and yips echoing round the crater rim. It was still kinda eerie, we only heard the odd crow calling, and even those were the ones that sound like hag witches. The fish were jumping (#and the cotton is hiiiiigh) in the lake, and we did not see a soul until we started to head down and saw a few bikers and a couple of people heading up for a swim. The trees and mountains were in pastel shades of pink and blue and it was all very dramatic looking. The dogs were stoked as ever, and very sweet as I was finding it hard to get my breath at times and had to sit on a few tree stumps for a breather as the hike progressed, and each time they popped back en masse from their gallops to sniff my ears, climb me like a tree (Jackets!) and generally mosey about nosing for cuddles, sticks and treats. I love them. It's comforting to know that if I ever fall and hit my head I am sure I will come round to a line of furry faces and licks standing over me! Ha! Happy hounds = happy me....see ya next hike, ArooooOOooOOooo!
