Wow - gotta love the West Coast weather this week; from arctic outflow, to lovely pow and sunshine...to the good 'ol pineapple express! Two new friends joined us today, Nalla and Shasta...both soooo funny! They are full of energy, and spent the majority of the hike cantering along with ears and tails flapping, doing shuttle runs of about 30m to and fro, coming back each time to smile and wag their tails at me, such lovely, friendly dogs!
Shasta leads the charge, Nalla and her flying ears follow close behind!
We headed South today, and I led the hike into the forests as the snow was not as deep, and still soft under the trees. The heavens then opened and we were lucky to be in the forests, as when we came out onto the fsr to hike home, a lovely crust had developed on the snow that made the dogs sound like a galloping herd of Wilderbeast and me like some stomping great giant crunching along! The camera and more poor cell phone after freezing over the last few days, got all soggy in my gore-tex today, so limited pictures...you'll just have to take my word for it! Will pull out the zip-lock bags and have more to show next time! Bye for now :)
