What a wicked hike today, we were not that high elevation wise and we really got to see some variations in the landscape...from ice-white and frozen solid winter wonderland, to green forest and rock making me want to pull out the bike again! The dramatic differences were also only a few feet apart in some areas...cool!
Just had to make this a large photo to show you what I mean...surreal really. Ever leading the way in this shot...from green to white. And below...where did all the snow go...?!
There was also cool ice features in the creekbeds that the dogs drank from, the shot below shows them having a good slurp..although it's super cold out we get pretty thirsty!
Then it was time to head for home, another great morning in the mountains, stay warm folks...down jackets and dogs help to generate some heat!
