Blinking in the morning sunshine, we have Wicket, Skipper, Jayda and Jackets!
Up we climbed...
Dear Jackets decided that she really did not want to put her paws on the thin ice after all and scurried back up to find a running creek to drink from instead...lovely girl, always a worrier that one!
Lovely to see some fresh snow! Jayda and Jackets enjoy a trot along together.
Skipper strikes a pose - I believe this one's called 'the lookback' he really takes great shots!

Then it was playtime! Skip and Jayda started it, then Wicket and Jayda did a few laps with Jackets trotting amongst the action, doing her usual looking up to make sure the sky isn't falling routine...she is so cute!
The dogs raged for a good few minutes before taking a break; I rolled around in the snow with them, we slid about on the crust and had a lovely time before heading into the forests...ahhhhh so peaceful :)
Enjoying the view...
...while Wicky tried to chew a stump out of the ground!
The sun was in and out as we went deeper into the forests making everything shimmery and beautiful, the peace only broken now and then by heli's flying overhead and the odd squeak of the wildlife...otherwise it was running creeks, trotting paws, and tweeting birds, very zen...ahhhhh lovely.
Then it was time to make for home, could have stayed out for hours more just exploring about..one day we will walk all the way back to Whis!
Darling Jackets checks the sky as we pad for home, Jayda leading the way, Skip at my heels
cool rock, could be a bum or a heart - depends which way you view it!
Back at the truck, I have no idea what they were looking at, spooky! Either way, it was a lovely end to a beautiful day, and good timing too, as for the afternoon the clouds came in, the snow fell, and the skiing was awesome! Looking forward to another day with the furry friends tomorrow, see ya then! Arooooooo!
Parting shot: I was asking them what they had been looking at, I love the way they each tried to tell me! DOGS RULE :)
