Dogs Of The Sunshine Forests

What a beautiful day...we hiked South today, hitting my favorite trails round Loggers. I was joined by Bosley, Skipper, Jayda, Kayla and Finn.  love the ebb and flow of dog hikes...we chill, run, bark, pee, swim, chew sticks and there is a little bit of training too! Today we were working on exiting the truck one dog on the ramp at a time in a controlled manner. Everyone did so well, Finn needed some encouragement to load up as it is steeper than the old one, but he trotted down perfectly. Bos surprised me with dog show manners as he flounced out of the truck nose and tail up perfectly, and Jayda leaped out and had to be shown one more time to use the ramp, but she soon got it :) and Kayla and Skip trotted down last after licking my face and barking at me first...love it. Anyhoo, enough chit chat - here are the shots!

A refreshing dip...lovely! Bos was playing with underwater rocks, pulling them about and squeaking to himself..so funny, Ruby and Wicket also do this, goodness knows why but it sure is funny to watch and they seem to enjoy themselves!

Into the woods again, bouncing along on the the springy moss and soil, we ran on and on, then looped back down for another swim!

This part was soooo funny! I ran along the log to the floating dock, only to look round and see the dogs teetering at the end too scared to continue! Bos nearly knocked Skip in a one point to come say hi to me, but they were still too yellow to make the walk. It was like a slapstick comedy sketch...almpost wanted the Benny Hill music playing (if anyone knows who that is...!) Bless...Got some funny video too...will try and post later.

 It was then time to mosey on down to the long road and the truck.

Towards the end of the hike we had a group down...except Finn who sat for a bit then just stood there staring at me as if to say 'oh do be quiet and give me a treat, then we can keep hiking.' He was so funny, and I feel as an older dog he can get a way with being a bit cranky as he's so cute!

Ready to head for home...that was an AWESOME hike in the forests and the sunshine...what a beautiful day! ArOOOOOOOOOO!!
