Ramble on...again!

Ok, so I used to be an IT geek...and yet I cannot for the life of me fathom why I can suddenly access the remaining pictures from the last hike!! I literally plugged my memory card into my PC and boom, there they all were!! Sweeeeet....so, without further ado my doggie loving friends - here are the remaining shots!
Milling about after a run...we all had to get our breaths back!
Wicky in the Fireweed...that sounds like a great kid book title!
Up to the lake...
 Smoky skies....
 Who wants a drinky-poo's?!
Jackets goes for the stick watched closely by Skip as Kayla looks to me for another
Cruzer contemplates...ha hah aaaaa! He stretched out his hind legs yoga style before dunking himself in!
The crew...Jackets on the left makes sure the sky isn't falling, kayla smiles, Cruzer peers through the forelock, Skip and Wicky grin up at me....darling doggie-dooooos!
Lush trails mean plenty of interesting smells!
Boo! I made Cruzer jump tee-hee!!
That's all folks...I could go on, but it is a day off...I am off to play outside - see you all Monday, ArooOOooOo!
Ok...so one more, I love the 'shot through the berries' look...I keep taking pics of this and just love it!

Ramble On!

...that just happens to be my favourite Zep song...and it was very much in my mind as we ran through the forests this morning with eerie watery sunshine filtering through a haze of distant wildfire smoke. It was actually quite beautiful, and Kayla, Skip, Wicky and Jackets and Cruzer were stoked to be out that's for sure! They ran and sniffed in a tight pack and played super well together...here are the first part of the shots, for some reason I cannot find anything from the lake downwards?? Gremlins in my memeory card ahhhhhhhhh! So mad as had some cracking shots...here is what I do have anyway, if I locate the others I'lll post them for sure!
Cruzer gets to know Wicket in typical doggy fashion...!
Off we go!
Moseying along tails up noses down!
Into the forests we go!
Eerie sun through the trees....

Dip number 1...lovely!
Galloping through the forests...weeee!
Love this..dogs dotted everywhere - you can just see Skip and Wicky and the others are flyig about nearby...it's awesome as I just waited in the same spot, and 30 seconds later litle faces popped up to see where I was, then came galloping as I stood still and quietly said "...so who wants a treat then?' Ah, those magic words!

And that's as far as the pix go today for some reason, I am so mad!!! C'est la vie, will make sure I get everything saved for SURE next hike...so from here we went up to Loggers, had a great splash around with barks and yips echoing round the crater rim. It was still kinda eerie, we only heard the odd crow calling, and even those were the ones that sound like hag witches. The fish were jumping (#and the cotton is hiiiiigh) in the lake, and we did not see a soul until we started to head down and saw a few bikers and a couple of people heading up for a swim. The trees and mountains were in pastel shades of pink and blue and it was all very dramatic looking. The dogs were stoked as ever, and very sweet as I was finding it hard to get my breath at times and had to sit on a few tree stumps for a breather as the hike progressed, and each time they popped back en masse from their gallops to sniff my ears, climb me like a tree (Jackets!) and generally mosey about nosing for cuddles, sticks and treats. I love them. It's comforting to know that if I ever fall and hit my head I am sure I will come round to a line of furry faces and licks standing over me! Ha! Happy hounds = happy me....see ya next hike, ArooooOOooOOooo!

High Energy Today!

Ha! Today was awesome, Cassius, Skipper, Cruzer and I went for a rage as we were full of good vibes and high energy after yesterday's zen forest romp. Today was full of games of chase, swims, bog monsters (that will be the dogs rolling in deep muddy creekbeds!) and gooooooood times! Here are the shots:
Todays crew waiting to be let out! Cruzer, Skip and Cassius
We started with a dip...lovely!
Then up we go!
..and up, still raging and playing hard! Each dog took turns to bow...pause...then go! SO funny...I was tired out just watching, not to mention the big climb up to our look-out spot!
Good little boys...and ooooooh yessssss the mud....Cassius somehow stayed relatively clean but Cruzer and Skip...well, thank goodness we had the Green to swim in to clean up, they reeked as did I - I was getting amongst and therefore also muddied up with doggy cuddles, and noses shoved in my ears as I took a breather with them. Love it!!
LOVE this shot...Skipper once again in dog calendar pose....one day I will make one! For anyone that may be new to the 'blog, Skipper consistantly is captured in amazing poses - some dramatic, some cute, some cheeky, and all very cool!
Cruzer! such a funny boy....he makes me laugh so hard as he gallops about with the others...I am sure if he were a dude he would be Owen Wilson or something...ya know kinda quirky with floppy hair, ha ha..love this dog! These shots were so funny, I was trying to get a cute mug shot, but he was so amped on his surroundings that he was looking all over the place and just itching to leap up and play. Good boy for sitting so well, even if his head was spinning around as he sat just in case he missed anything!
Cassius too was full of beans...and he is such a good boy even though he is full of energy! I was a hyperactive child, so can totally identify with him! He sits so well when asked and has amazing treat manners. In this shot he had been enjoying the view and I was just too late to get the shot as a squeak from the bush got him up and about investigating!
On we go...deeper into the forests, all of us pretty tired at this stage after the long climb up
Ohhh look, a new trail being built...lets go check it out!
Off we go into new territory...
...and come to a Bobcat...ah well, was fun to check it out.
By this point we were muddy, stinky, AND dusty...perfect!!

Ha! Back down at the Fitz creek we had a play in the water and around the bridge before we had to leash up through the golf club area..check out Cruzer full tilt and ears flapping!!

Back in the Green it was time to chill out and wash ourselves off...and for Cruzer and Cassius to have a little kiss...bless! Skip pretty much leapt in then sat on me as the other two cleaned themselves up, the little darling! Another sweet day in dog land, see you all tomorrow! ArOOoooOOOOo!

Dogs of the Forests Aroooooooo!

Today was cool; the light was a moody and eerie sun behind mounting storm clouds (that thankfully didn't amount to anything) and everything seemed quieter in the forests today as Ever, Kayla, Skip, Bosley and I flew round. We did hear the odd squirrel as ever, but no birds or planes flying over...it was all muffled and we moved as a tight posse running along together, at times each with a randomly shaped stick in mouth, and had a good couple of stops to chill and splash in the racing creeks, where all 5 of us had our heads in to drink...slurping loudly and sneezing as the wonderfully cool water went up our noses! Here are the shots...
off we go noses down, tails swinging
Kayla almost pokes her eye out...I gently removed this one from her maw before she actually did!
Love this shot of Bos...doesn't quite capture the light but kinda eerie al the same, apart from his lolling tongue and doggy grin of course!
Deep in the trees we dissipated to mosey, sniff and have some time to contemplate whatever dogs contemplate when exploring alone...each dog in sight, it was cool to see their little heads pop up to make sure they could see me as I wound round the trails and they bounced over the moss...after 5 mins of this they came in again as the posse...it was a gentle ebb and flow today, and very cool to be part of!

On we go again...

Aw Bos you are such a sweetie with your squeaky yawns and your HUGE maw! Kayla in the background has a yap...
Ha haaa! We took a break on a rock, and Bos lay down panting ...so I gave him a time out as the others palyed a LOUD game of stick...was fun, and kinda broke the 'misty mountain magic mood' a little but was very funny...go Ever! You want it? Huh? She says YES! NOW!
Bos Chills as the games commence...lovely boy!
Who's a happy girl then?! 2 seconds before this cracking shot of Ever she had her head deep into the rocks...probably a quivering small animal somewhere in there!
Catalogue man Skip strikes a pose...bit blurry but a Skip classic all the same!
Drinky poos!
Wow those Alders grow fast! You can just see Rainbow Glacier in the haze on the horizon...it was slightly brighter in the Southern skies, whereas North...
Muggy warm and advancing..I love the weather patterns of the valley, could sit up here and hang with dogs watching it all day!
Dogs on rocks...lovely!
Down we go...
I love these guys so much! We have a little cuddle, treat, sit, and a drink and off we go...I had a raincoat over my head at this point as bug city was setting up in my hair...ahhhhh! The dogs seemed happy and content though, which is all I really care about! See you all tommorrow :) ArOOOOooooOOoooo!
